Recital Class Notes for Costume, Hair, Make Up & Accessories

YOUR RECITAL COSTUME NOTES INCLUDING HAIRSTYLE, MAKE UP, TIGHTS & ACCESSORIES, AND A PICTURE OF YOUR CHILD’S RECITAL COSTUME CAN BE FOUND IN YOUR PARENT PORTAL ~ TAKE A LOOK UNDER THE RESOURCES TAB.

Wearing stage make up is so important. With the stage lighting so bright, the children’s faces will be washed out, but applying the colors of eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, blush and lipstick, will help us see their shining faces as they perform (plus the students feel special, being in their costume and make up, “stage ready”). Any classes wearing red lipstick, we highly recommend using this specific style and brand Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, color – exhilarator (spiced edition).

Note Hair – slicked back, tight bun or pony tail, with accessories secured with bobby pins & lots of hairspray!!

The following may not be worn on Picture Day, Dress Rehearsal, or during the Recital Shows:

NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND (no belly, ear, or nose piercings, rings, etc), unless it is part of the costume.

NO NAIL POLISH (finger or toes)

NO UNDERWEAR (tights will act as underwear for girls)

NO HAIR TIES AROUND THE WRISTS.

THESE RULES APPLY TO EVERY STUDENT – NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING ANY OF THESE COSTUME NOTES, PLEASE SEE YOUR DAUGHTER’S/SON’S TEACHER.

Any student that wants to wear a mask for the recital performances, we ask that is it is clear so we can see your face and SMILE!!
