WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

EOD Competition Teams,

As much as we take the time to warm up before classes and performances properly, there are times when an injury or an overworked muscle can occur. Miss Kelly is a certified physical therapist specializing in sports medicine through St. Luke’s Physical Therapy. She is available to any dancer/gymnast who may need additional help throughout the season.

Please see the attached flyer with what she can offer our team members. If you have any questions, please reach out to Miss Kelly at Kelly.Angelucci@sluhn.org

We are fortunate to have Miss Kelly as a part of our EOD staff to help our dancers stay healthy and strong.

Important Competition Reminders

  • It is highly recommended that students wear a mask to class. Students should bring their own mask – if their’s should break, we do have some on hand.
  • For students/families getting tested for Covid, please email Miss Tanya and she will contact the teachers. We have placed your teacher’s Zoom link in your parent portal, next to each class. Please email Miss Tanya or Miss Meghan if you have 2 teachers (jazz/lyrical classes), The teacher who starts the class is the link in your portal, and we will email you the 2nd teacher’s link. Same for the Wednesday technique classes since we rotate teachers each week. Any questions please let us know.
  • All competition team music was emailed to you. If your daughter has her own device to listen and practice, please share the email/music with her so she has a copy. All solos and duos received their music via text, so it is right on their device. If you cannot find your email, please let Miss Tanya know.
  • All Tights & Rhinestone Earrings must be ordered through EOD so style / color match. Please place your order through the google link by Thursday, 11/18. Your card on file will be charged on Friday, 11/19.

2021-2022 COMPETITION CONTRACT

CHOREOGRAPHY REHEARSAL SCHEDULE & FEES: $90.00 per student, per team – Due August 26, 2021

Your credit card will be charged on 8/26/21. If you wish to pay ahead of time, please see Nicole or login to your account to make your payment. All students must attend their scheduled team rehearsal day/time. Any student who misses a choreography rehearsal will be removed from the team

The teachers have two hours with each team, for four weeks, to teach the choreography during their scheduled rehearsal time. This will allow more time in class during the week to condition and strengthen each team’s technique, along with reviewing and cleaning the routine. Please note these rehearsals will require the students to practice and memorize the choreography by their next class, so please encourage them to practice at home whenever they can. The mandatory choreography schedule is attached below. Please add these dates to your calendar
